Free Resources from the Net for (Special) Education
Thursday, October 18, 2007 8:00 am - 9:00 am
We will explore free high quality programs and interactive Web sites that are of value to AT users (K-12). Numerous free programs provide or enhance access. Other programs and interactive Web sites offer enrichment and curriculum support. Software and Web sites will be demonstrated and discussed. There will be an emphasis on practical applications in the classroom. Many of the featured resources are UDL tools that benefit all students. Workshop participants will receive a CD containing over 50 free programs. Although all of the programs discussed run in Windows, many also run in Macintosh and/or Linux. There are no platform limitations for the interactive Web sites.
